I'm not the biggest Shakespeare fan. I know... shocking revelation by an English Lit BA. Nevertheless, reading 'Macbeth' was such a fun experience. Maybe it was because my teacher was very engaging when explaining the context and symbolism of it, or maybe it was because the plot was so mind-blowing that it bordered on being a parody.
Macbeth has insane monologues (shoutout to Lady Macbeth), beautifully written verses, and there are many others on this platform that may inform you why this play has become a classic; but as someone who doesn't read Shakespeare much, I can definitely tell you, it was such a fun play to read.
