I’ve never DNF’d a book this far into it. I just….nothing happened. We were made to believe these letters and this fake boyfriend from her past would be a bigger deal, but I didn’t see it at all.
The main characters have no chemistry, I don’t see the romance whatsoever. They’re both boring.
Mike Martin (ugh), in their first convo, tells her he doesn’t like liars………then lies about the job, the car, the insurance. Sure, bud.
The main girl…I don’t even remember her name. But she has a lot of trauma left to deal with.
This book was a disappointment, and I didn’t even want to read more to find out what happens.

Y’all my mighty duck dreams have come true!! Joshua Jackson narrates for Mike Martin and he was soo good! The story was definitely not so happy go lucky as my normal reads, but I did love the character development. Also you can’t forget his name because Aurora refers to her main man on a full name basis. Like other people openly acknowledge Mike at the store, the studio, the hockey rink, but no Aurora has to be like “MIKE MARTIN” ever. single. time.

I had no desire to read this book, until I learned Joshua Jackson narrated the audiobook, and I simply couldn't say no. His performance was 10/10 - Can Pacey Witter ever do wrong? Book was not great. Hallmark at best. #DidItForJoshua
