I especially liked the parts about the importance of the word no, and recognizing the danger in people who refuse to hear it. Definitely more geared towards women, but not outdated!

Contradictory at times, but a must read

I wish somebody had made me read the chapter on unwanted advances as a young girl- it might have changed my life!

I don't think it would be an exaggeration to call this book 'essential reading'. I talk about it often, and always recommend it to my friends and family. It's useful both from a survival standpoint and for anyone who wants to dive deeper into the importance of listening to your intuition. I suspect I'll be referring back to this book for years to come.

Thought the "signs of an abuser" for relationships was extremely useful and still relevant. Think it should be given for high school sex ed and every girl going through puberty!
