This was a really good time - I feel like it would've maybe been 3.5-4 stars if I hadn't had to read it over several phases when it was available from my library 😅

A bit disconnected and hard to follow plot wise, but I liked death as bill door a lot.

"You're really going to die?"
YES. IT WILL BE A GREAT ADVENTURE.

That's it. That's the premise.

Reaper Man challenged me. It got me asking the hard questions, like:
  1. How do vampires shave?
  2. Why is Lupine so hot?
  3. Is something happening?
There was a great suspended, anticipatory feeling. I was waiting for something. I wasn't sure what. Some great evolution in the events? I don't know.

It wasn't as funny as other Discworld novels I've read, but that's not a bad thing. It's soft and it's sad. The sobriety of it made it all the more poignant. That's a rare overtone for a Pratchett book, and I thought it was wonderful that he did it.

Wow! What a fun and super read, thoroughly enjoyed this one and of the three I have read so far, this is top of the list. I think I will be hard pressed to better this.

The story was excellent and quite amusing. Death is a superb character and the end did choke me a little.

And also added cuteness with the Death of Rats (and fleas).

It seems to me almost all Discworld is better the second time. This one is filled with so much heart. I just loved it!
