More Harry Bosch. And a good one.

Bosch is back and forth between LA and Las Vegas here, tracking how a high-roller money-launder was murdered. He reconnects with his former lover, a disgraced FBI agent who makes her living playing poker. It's a solid read, with typical Connelly setting details and lots of tension. Enjoy!

You pretty much know what you're getting out of Connelly at this point: excellent plot construction, decent characterization, indifferent wordcraft.
adventurous relaxing fast-paced

First 250-300 pages were utterly boring. If you made it to end, the last 100 were very good. Question remains: was it worth it though?

Great modern noir mystery, as Connelly’s always are. Terrific read, well-written, and a lot of great twists and turns

Back from an involuntary leave of absence, Bosch is called to a crime scene where the body of the Hollywood producer is found in the trunk of his Rolls Royce - looks like a mob hit. Bosch, and his team, follow the clues - organized crime with Vegas ties. Or, are the clues a little bit of misdirection?

I love the Harry Bosch series, but of course after a bit, it becomes predictable. But, still enjoyable.

Harry Bosch's true colors come out when a murder case appears to be a mob hit. The "trunk music" leads him to Las Vegas. He finds more questions than answers. Who was involved? Ultimately who dunnit and why?
