Fun light read (even through the subject is pretty grim). I could have done without the (admittedly short) graphic sexual descriptions.

A lovely wee book about norn ireland :’)

Galler wrote a fun, authentic story about girls who needed a summer job before entering a new stage of life amidst a tense civil conflict. Their issues and dramas were more important than the bombings or shootings happening down the street from them - which is exactly how teens are. The writing matched the dialect and accent so well, and the slang was spot on (to the point at times where I had no idea what they were saying). It made me nostalgic, grateful, and happy all at the same time
