I have a lot to say about this book only if I had time to write.

The banter was sub-par, I expected more.
A steamy make out for half a second is not spicy I’m sorry.
The cover is STUNNING! The food described sounds DELICIOUS. But I would’ve rather given up a few detailed food recipes for a bit more action between the 2 MC’s

didn't vibe with the writing style. i also just didn't really like how human-like the demon was.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! This book immediately had me interested when it was sold as witches in hiding making deals with one of the princes of hell to find her sister's murderer. I should have known after reading any of Maniscalco's books that this was going to be fantastic. The world building her was really interesting and I am looking forward to seeing how the story progresses with the fallout of book one's ending.
Maniscalco has both an amazing writing style and personality. I got to meet her for a book signing a couple years ago and she was the sweetest person! She is an instant buy author and that's not likely to change any time soon.

Pretty good, but I couldn’t get into it until 100 pages in. Wasn’t sure if I was going to read the sequel but was convinced by the time I finished to buy the next one.

I’m sorry but I thought this book was boring. I kept waiting for something to happen or for it to get better. The ending was so confusing as well. I wanted to like this book too
