Brian Michael Bendis definitely watched Looper! He plays with time travel well and adds a third layer of the original X-Men with the depiction of Beast. The Angel story line really comes into its own here as well.

All this time travel messes with my head but there was more young Angel and Iceman on this and less Jean Gray, so I was happy.

Now I can't decide whether to go straight onto volume 6 or divert to Uncanny X-men for Xavier's will reading.

Very strong issue. The Jean /Hank and Jean/Scott moments are really good

Confusing, but good confusing, in the way that only really great time-travel / alternate reality stories can be. Past X-Men stranded in the present, future mutants coming to kill current X-Men, and a really interesting mix of unplanned-for elements and personalities. Good stuff.

Gorgeous, but have I ever mentioned that I *really* hate time travel plots? And this is 2 for the price of 1!
