š· The vibes:
- roommates
- Opposites attract
- Fake dating
- Forced proximity
- Librarian fmc
- Tattoos
š· My thoughts:
Oh wow. The beginning of this one sucked me in quick. Itās wild - so try to keep up. šSo we have two couples. Daphne and Peter who are engaged and about to be married; and we have Miles and Petra . Well Peter leaves Daphne to be with Petra. So what is Daphne to do - living in a new place with nowhere to live and no community to help her out? Move in with Miles and be awkward roomies until she can figure out whatās next for her.
š· I loved Milesās super chill energy! Instant attraction from me to his vibe. But he also had depth and a backstory which is something that every cinnamon roll MMC needs. I also loved Daphne and seeing her librarian passion really shine through. I found this aspect of her so endearing.
š· The humor and banter spoke to my soul. I literally laughed out loud several times.
š· The conflict and the blow up was a lot for me and was a little hard to get down- but otherwise this was a super enjoyable read that has me excited to read other books by Emily Henry.
š· Other things I loved with no context:
The kiss
The banter
The dunes
Whiny babies
Ashleigh
Cherry Hill
Note- open door; easily skippable with plot staying solid.
