So adorable! I actually couldn't tell through most of the book whether the knight was male or female, and I love that it didn't really matter! This would have been a wonderful story either way, but the queer representation was a bonus.

Rhyming fairy tale of a prince finding his partner in a knight, after finding princesses weren't right for him.

This book is obviously intended for a very young audience, something I would read to my nieces and nephews. It is the perfect bed time story.
It follows very much the same layout of your typical princess story but this time it is a prince that falls for the dashing knight.
The story is short and sweet with a fun, slightly lyrical writing style and the art style is very charming and vibrant.
This book is different from a lot of LGBTQ+ children's books which often focus on having LGBTQ+ parents and overcoming prejudice (Which is important), it is simply a typical children's bed time story that happens to be about two male characters. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a way to teach their children about LGBTQ+ identities and normalise them in a way that is natural and comfortable.
Absolutely adorable story.

OMG I adored this! This a simple but gorgeously drawn precious story of a Prince and a Knight who fall in love. I never thought I'd live to see a mainstream queer children's picture book. Perfect.

Loved this book.  It rhymes, the story is oh so sweet, and the illustrations are bright and inviting.  What more could one love?  Well apparently, for some it wasn’t love at first read but hate.  You may have guessed, this book has been BANNED.  And you probably guessed right that it was banned because the prince fell in love with the knight, and they are both men. How scandalous!!.  This book shouldn’t be banned.  It should be celebrated.  It celebrates love, and we should too.  Ignore the Haters, read this book!

This is ADORABLE! The art is super cute with vibrant colors that pop and illustrate the story in a true fairytale style. The words were rhyming, and went with the images. Love, love, love! I'll be reading this to my library storytime :)
