SO CUTE WTFFF

When do we get the Disney version of this delightful story!?

OK, what is the deal with the dead dragon in this book??? It's a lot for a kid's story. I don't love the violence of the dragon aspect in general, but I definitely don't love that the dragon dies. I think there was an opportunity here to have a more compassionate resolution to the dragon conflict.

The violence of this story really throws me off and made it less enjoyable. I think the art is cute. I like parts of the story (like the prince's parents are accepting). But if a book wants to disrupt the restrictive parts of a fairy tale, there is other work to be done as well.

I kept this book for my children's library because my oldest liked it right away and I guess if we're going to get into fairy tales, it's good to start with one that at least shows a prince and a knight falling in love.

This was cute and I'm glad a story like this exists. However, I felt the writing was pretty clunky in the rhymes.

So adorable! I actually started tearing up a little. Wonderful art, adorable story!

This is so freaking cute omg

We loved this book. My 2 year old boy was so captivated and invested in the action part of the story. My 4 year old daughter loved the "romance" and it opened up the topic of love is love is love. On top of the lovely story is the beautiful artwork. Must read.

A great story about a prince who finds his true love.

I could have sworn I reviewed this when I bought and read it back in February... but apparently... not. So, fixing that right now since I can be succinct, because:

a) this book is precious and adorable
b) the illustrations are absolutely wonderful
c) READ IT

Seriously, you are doing yourself a huge disservice if you don't.
