I received this as an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

'Tis the season! This was a fun, festive collection of short horror stories that centered around Christmas and the holiday season. This is a lot of fun for any horror lover who is just missing Halloween but also enjoys the December holidays. Most of the stories were well done, leaving the endings in a cliffhanger so the reader can use their own imagination to it's own creative horrors. There were a few spelling errors, but that is typical with any ARC. All in all, for this collection, I was impressed!

This was an excellent collection of holiday-themed horror! Usually, these anthologies contain some duds and some really good stories, but this one was an exception to that as all the stories in this collection were quite good!

I liked a little over half of the stories so it merits at least four stars especially because the few I liked I *really* liked. Not a bad collection and quick reads, save for the very last story which is one of the best ones in there. But not all of them are great so be forewarned of that.

Mixed bag. Best stories by Elizabeth Hand, Scott Smith and Christopher Golden.

A true mix. Some great. Some not. Almost all are at least entertaining.

Dang, I’m having such bad luck right at the end of the year :( Some of these stories were good, but some were also way too long and way too boring. For a horror anthology, only the first story actually scared me.

The rest of this anthology was 1-3, but the story "Christmas in Barcelona" made me gasp out loud. I wish this had been better. Seanan McGuire! Joshua Malerman! But unfortunately, 3 feels like a generous rating.

5/12/19: Marking it up, because I still think about Christmas in Barcelona.
