I didn’t know much about this going in so I assumed it was just Japanese “Zootopia” or something. It sort of is, only with weirder predator/prey social dynamics and awkward sexual overtones. The art is off-putting, too, but not in a bad way. It’s interesting to see manga art that looks more like online alt-comics than the usual “manga” look.
Also I thought this was primarily supposed to be a murder mystery and not a shoujo romance thing, which is probably also why this didn’t click with me. I may give the next one a shot at some point if only because this one ended on a cliffhanger of sorts.

Came recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. I've seen and heard a lot about this manga but didn't really know anything about it. Considerably different then I thought but enjoyed every moment of it. I'm very curious to see how the story continues.

Whew...was falling asleep reading this one.

This is just a teen drama mixed in with hominoid animals...nothing special. It's not the worst thing, and the first chapter is solid, but it slowly goes downhill and gets boring quick. The art is solid enough though. A 2 out of 5.

Binged the entire manga, and I have never even read manga. The art, characters and writing are all quite good. The first two arcs are paced very well, but the last ninety or so issues run on a bit long and then the ending feels too fast. But the journey there is worth it. I hope we get a sequel or spiritual successor one day

I liked it.
Unfairly or not, I kept comparing it to the movie Zootopia. I think I liked this more but I think that's mostly a reflection of each's medium and target audience than quality. But also I'm only at most a quarter-way through the whole story so it could all fall apart before it's done.
This was good though. Mostly character talking, thinking... a little moping.
I'm also the kind of person who enjoys a curveball once in a while; so I didn't mind having to move through the book from right to left (while still reading left to right). I guess how Manga books are printed in English, but this is my first one so I don't know.
It may be that it slowed me down a little bit, but, if so, it was enough to appreciate some of the artwork more, so it worked out for me.
