A very interesting comic that has a much darker take on the concept of Zootopia. Imagine an all animal society with both herbivores and carnivores coexisting. Our focus is on a school setting where a student has died by a carnivore and the main suspect is his friend, Legoshi a wolf. Just like with Zootopia, this has great social commentary on profiling on both ends and how there are different shades for each person plus the high school setting has some excellent dynamics. The use of all animals has great artwork and oddly enough has a certain level of humanity behind it.

Anthropomorphised animal stories are usually easily split into two categories. One where the animals act exactly like humans and only look different. Two where its an unsubtle and usually badly done metaphor for something.
Interestingly this is neither. The animals are clearly animals and there doesn't seem to be an obvious metaphor the author is working from. Its too nebulous for that.

I think one of the really clever things with this is the fact that it starts with the murder and therefore you spend the whole time reading it trying to piece together from the clues who it is. But since you've only just been introduced to the world and the characters, your opinions on them and your suspicions are often based on the in world biases of the characters rather than any real evidence. This means that the reader's experience mirrors that of the characters within the novel.

I really enjoyed this! The story is so unique, the Mangaka is very creative. The art is also very gorgeous, the way all the different types of animals are drawn is so great.. The story drew me right in from the start, I couldn't put it down. All of the characters I have seen so far are great, I really love Legoshi! I love the idea of a big awkward and shy wolf.

I will be definitely reading the other volumes of this manga I need to know what happens! I would recommend it to everyone who is looking to read a very unique and beautifully drawn manga.

Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the complimentary electronic ARC, all opinions expressed are my own.
