I ATE this up! I finished this in one day. I could not put it down. I loved everything about this! And the illustrations in the book were an added bonus that helped me picture Callum and Aida as I was reading. Aida was definitely a handful but Callum was certainly the perfect match to her wild free spirit attitude. This is my first book by Sophie Lark and her writing made this very easy to get through. It just flowed so well. I’ve already gone to Walmart and purchased book two in this series and plan to purchase the remaining books soon.

Reading this was painful, I hated 95% of the narrative. This book was full of sexual abuse, psychological abuse and domestic violence - all this being romanticized. Also they never talk, it's just smut.

I pushed off reading this book for literal years, and I have no idea why considering it was so? good? It had me in tears laughing, and it was endearing watching the two main characters go from genuine enemies (literally actively trying to kill each other) to lovers <3

only thing is the spicy illustrations were a jumpscare I was not expecting haha
