This book was super captivating at the beginning. I loved the dual POV, especially Adrienne's chapters and hearing the psychiatrist tapes. What I didn't like was the twist. I honestly felt like it made ZERO sense and it was put there for the sake of there being a twist.

The Tricia twist? Fine. The Ethan twist? Forced.

I'm finding this to be a pattern with some of McFadden's books. Sometimes the twists make sense, and other times it's a cluster mess like this one.
