I laughed and I cried. I swooned.
At one point I was like okay… probably enough people in the harem. You know? But the way they explained it at the end was just too good.
I did get tired of the whole “greedy vag” thing. Like okay 1st time is cool, 2nd is like oh okay… but the 50th time? Just stop.
The way Lachlan saved her? Tears.
Them telling Birdie and the girls? Tears.
Knox ticked me off in this one. The way he was with Enoch and his coven just ticked me off. I was like okay, get over it now. I’m glad they turned out to be shields instead of chosen though.
Also, it never mentions Torrez getting his runes. The first ones, anyways.
Overall, it was really good.

The best part of these books so far my is that Vinna doesn’t allow herself to be manipulated at any point. She is always recognizing the suspicious changes in behavior, and she’s always confident in herself and power. I find that really enjoyable as a reader, and all her men respect her. We didn’t have to see her treated poorly by them in any circumstance. And in the circumstances where there was conflict it was always an understandable feeling. I just really enjoyed just about everything in this book. My only drawback is i wish the pacing would have been just a bit better.
