The excessive use of “laughing” and all variations and synonyms still drives me mad. Please… author. Stop.. this series isn’t as funny as you seem to think it is, it’s the weirdest thing I have found about an otherwise decentish series. Overall the MMCs don’t have the most notable personalities with most of them being interchangeable.
My biggest question is why does the next book exist? I guess I’ll figure it out when I read it I don’t have the highest hopes.

Gosh, how is this series this freaking good?!?! Nothing I say is going to do it justice, seriously. Just read it. It's fantastic. I will say that I love it for the plot, not the spice (it's lower on the spice chart), so don't go into this series looking for that. Instead go into it for incredible plot, an FMC so powerful and hilarious that you are in awe and MMCs that you want to lick and call dibs on.

I'm happy for the romance, but the entirety of everything happening around them is just sad. I'm sad reading this for everyone except Vinna she makes me so angry with her better than thou attitude. Poor Enoch, I want him to be loved too and be in the group, but his group just gets walked all over. How insulting is it to be called a guard and at the same time watch a new member get their marks.

Yeah 3rd book in and still think the first was the best. I didn’t really enjoy this and I will see if I finish the last book.
