DID NOT FINISH: 35%

Story was not engaging...characters felt contrived to fit a checklist instead of having nuance and depth. I picked up the book at page 115 to continue reading...skimmed a bit to page 167, and found I just did not care to finish it.

I HATED the pandemic plot line, granted, I was only 15% of the way in, I might pick this up again. I really liked every other plot line so 🤷‍♀️

It’s currently just after 1:30 in the morning and my eyes are drowsy with sleep. My brain is foggy, too. But my heart is exploding in the best way! This book is beautiful, both aesthetically and as a work of fiction. Weaving together three stories across different times and spaces was magic and Libba Bray, our weaver. Bray gave us an epic, expansive history mystery with the hope so many in the world have needed these past 5 years. ❤️

I felt like the 2020 storyline was only there to add diversity to the book. It felt very separate and unneeded in comparison to the other two stories.

that. was. excellent!
