The three storylines were engaging with likable characters and inspiring actions. It was perhaps a little predictable but I enjoyed watching the teen characters grow up and enjoyed seeing how the three stories (and thus the historical events of the three time periods) are connected. I’m also a sucker for any story set in Germany and especially Berlin, and with the unexpected Dallas connection, it felt like Bray wrote this one for me.

I almost DNF'ed this about 2 hours in. I just didn't care about any of the timelines to consider putting that many hours into the book. I'm glad I finished it and the audiobook was well done, but I don't think it needed to be as long as it was.
