A book for young readers and part of a series around 'Elisabeth', these are sweet stories that celebrate the natural world and a daughter and father's engagement with it. In this story, a strange sound is coming from the marsh nearby and when Elisabeth investigates, she finds that it's an exotic bird that has escaped from the zoo. The story is nice enough but it's Erik Blegvad's illustrations which are are especially appealing.
