This was challenging for me to get through because it was heavy. I was suspecting some of the subject matter, but a lot of it was shockingly abrupt. This was really well written though, and I think a lot of people would like it if they like memoirs or fiction

Absolutely loved it! Do read the trigger warnings as when it gets more intense, it is surprisingly hard to read and tearful.

Beautiful writing style and loved the relationship/bond with the daughter.

I hit a slump halfway through but when it starts intensifiung in the last quarter, it is worth the effort.

I absolutely loved the writing style of this book. There were so many poignant moments sprinkled into the narrative that really struck a chord in me. I have very little to relate to in terms of the historical plot, but this is a book that is heavily focused on mother/daughter and sister/sister relationships in a way that I could truly appreciate.
