A note on some of the content warnings. Although the transphobia is not explicit, the author very clearly believes in a “gender binary,” and therefore segregated bathrooms, dorms, etc. according to that discriminatory belief system. Furthermore, there are several remarks and depictions that I, personally, consider to be sexist because they reinforce stereotypes based on gender. (And, again, the author believes gender to be binary.) For example, most of the females frequently weep while the males remain stoic. At one point, the author describes Vernon and Petunia as looking as horrified as if their son, Dudley, had confessed he wanted to be a ballerina. While sexism and transphobia are not major plot points, I wanted to warn viewers for whom this type of content (even to a minor degree) is triggering, so that they may be aware and make an informed decision.
