The artwork is fun but the writing is lacking. It is more about the love of collecting books than actually reading them. I'm not a writer so I can't relate really to many parts.
I think most reader or writer can relate. Entertaining illustrations and it covers almost everything about reader/writer. A fun book to reread again.

I Will Judge You by Your Bookshelf is a cutely illustrated book by American cartoonist Grant Snider that “explores bookishness in all its forms, and the love of writing and reading, building on the beloved literary comics featured on [the author’s] website, Incidental Comics.”
Yet, when I read it, it felt like it was more for aspiring writers than book lovers. I’m not sure if it was just me, but after reading and trying to appreciate the comics in the book for a while, it started to feel a little meaningless.
That being said, I don’t want to downplay the cuteness and fun of the illustrations in the book. This is still an enjoyable book to read, especially as a coffee table book that you can flip and enjoy without following the page order!
Rating: 3/5

A series of comic strips featuring short (almost poetic at times) texts, combined with poignant, simple sketch of cartoons, celebrating readers and their unique and many forms of reading habits.

I've found my love for this kind of graphic nonfiction thanks to this book.
