My parents gave me this book for Christmas, and I really loved it. The spreads are whimsical and clever, and it resonated very highly with this judgy bookworm.

This book was enjoyable! So bookish and charming.
This graphic book speaks to my obsessive inner bookworm. It’s so relatable that I felt instant attraction to it, happy to have found a kindred spirit who is as weird about books as I am, living the same dilemmas I live. I loved the reader’s manifesto, the little confession part at the beginning, the beautiful fun drawings and the level of enthusiasm and fanaticism author presents. The author expresses his writer’s block with such an open hearted approach that I’m sure every aspiring novelist will find something to relate to. The way he visually describes famous authors and novels cracked me up! A heartfelt poignant read for bibliophiles and aspiring authors.
I enjoyed the mixture of fun reader facts/word plays and illustrations with a hint of sarcasm hidden.
Some pages I found really funny.
some were relatable
and some went 2 hands above my head directly which i couldn't catch

1.5 Stars
I Will Judge You by Your Bookshelf is a standalone Graphic Novel, I read it cause it sounded cool, which I was wrong, cause I didn't like it.
The plot well, I don't really know what the plot was, cause in a way it didn't really have a plot, I'm not sure, cause I didn't really understand, what happened in the book, it was super confusing, and also some of the text bubble things were very tiny so it was kinda hard to read.
The Writing well since it was a Graphic Novel, I don't really know what to say about the writing, but, what I am gonna say is that, there were times when the text was too small for me to read, I said it above, but still.
I would make a heading for The Characters but, there really weren't any characters except, one guy, which I don't really know how to feel about, he okay, I guess.
Why'd I rate this 2 stars or 1.5 technically?
I didn't like it, straight of, I bet other people might like it, but I just wasn't in sync with this, I just didn't get it, this book, just wasn't for me. at all. No click!
Overall, this is probably, one of my least favorite graphic novels, and that's a lot to say, cause I usually really like all graphic novels.

I loved every single page in this book. If you are a bookworm, I highly encourage you to get your hands on this book! You will alternate between silently nodding in agreement and openly laughing aloud as you turn the pages.
I loved The Shape of Ideas several years ago by the same author, so I was excited to check out his book-themed book. This book is broken into 14 sections, reader (or writer) confessions. The comic style is fun and quirky, and each page can stand alone or be read as part of the collection together.
Some of the comics were fantastic -- hilarious, thought-provoking, a great way of visualizing something creative, or a truth I identified with as a reader or writer. Some felt forced or like they were trying to be overly clever, and a few pages seemed familiar enough that I think they were included in The Shape of Ideas.
As far as this author goes, I preferred The Shape of Ideas. As far as comics about books go, I preferred Book Love.
