Just okay.
Not necessarily a book I would recommend as a lot of the info is outdated now and as someone who has endo I found it to be based on the authors own experience and opinion more than anything else.
Good starting point and amazing to have a book about this, but there is a lot of information in there that isn’t necessarily ‘fact’ and is subjective.

AMAZING
Super informative and categorized beautifully so you can pick what you want to learn more about.

Inclusive language, funny informative illustrations, a warm tone and just super helpful!

It even includes an index in the back and has several studies mentioned to back up the information in this book.

I would love for every endo warrior to read this and feel validated. And for all others to read it too to get a bit more understanding about the severity or this disease and the way it impacts us.

A nice introduction to the heinous world of endometriosis. I can appreciate the accessible language used. It’s a fantastic way to make it easier for people who may not know much about endo or who may not read very often. I also really enjoyed the fact that Hustwaite is an Aussie. As a kiwi, it’s always pleasant when work isn’t tainted by the American or British lens.

However, I struggled with the language on a personal level. It felt simple and at times a little condescending. I think it would have also been nice if there was more informed ideas in the book rather than opinion.

While not for me, I can appreciate how useful it will be for others. It’s important to maintain our critical thinking skills and consider the book a stepping stone rather than the holy grail about endo.

Living in the Information Age is a blessing and a curse. For anyone navigating chronic illness, you’ll know that to be true. Misinformation is dangerous, and when it comes to endometriosis there’s far too much circulating. This book does an incredible job at delivering accurate information and credible resources as well as a variety of symptom and pain management strategies. If you’re looking to educate yourself about endometriosis, this is a great starting place.
