Okay!! I can’t decide if this is a 4 or a 4.5 and up until like 90% of the way through I was convinced it was a 5⭐️!

Listen, When I say I want to read an angsty romance this is the kind of book I am talking about!!!

I know these characters and in many ways I am these characters?

I was suppressing a cheesy grin, giggles and genuine tears throughout my entire flight!!! The end wasn’t was I was hoping for but “sometimes sad things are beautiful too”

I can kind of see why this book might be good to others, but I just hated the writing and got bored.
I think I understand what the author was trying to do with the writing by writing in a way that a teenage girl would think, but it was hard to read imo.
2/5 stars!

A beautifully tragic story. When I was reading this book it was like I was floating above these characters watching the story unfold. It was full of young love and real emotions. Foreshadowing the death of Finny in the first chapter of the book, dulled the pain and emotions from when it actually happened. I knew it was coming eventually so throughout the story I am asked myself if it was going to occur then, which didn’t allow me to invest in the characters/story. When Autumn and Finny finally expressed their love, I knew it was coming to a short end. I would have enjoyed the book more if there was the shock factor of his death and the love that was cut too short. All in all, I do think it was an entertaining and well written book, but wasn’t invested.

this book made me depressed.

I don’t know why but the tone and autumn’s pov make life seems very… real? I don’t know if that’s the right word to describe this feeling. it feels like there’s so much too life but at the same time, you’re also dragging yourself through life. it’s a bitter sweet feeling. and it also made me question relationships (both platonic and romantic relationships). and it made me realized how scary life is, how things might past in an instance.

overall, a solid book. I rly enjoy the narrator for this book. it’s not one of my favorite though, not as of right now. maybe I will continue to think abt it in the future and change my rating. it’s good, but I didn’t particularly connect with the characters. I think the writing and plots are so reflective of real life and it’s amazing. but the characters are alright.
