very predictable which made it not that interesting to read to be honest

This book was a page turner for most but it really fell flat for me. I am not sure if it was the actual story or the fact I had just read It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover and that book was just over the top for me.

I did like the story but it was not my favorite and predictable. I honestly got a little bored reading it and had to keep coming back to it.

An old Kristin Hannah book that has been sitting on my shelf for a few years. It was hard for me to wrap my mind around that because of the time, I was closer to the age of the daughter instead of the mother. I wasn’t ready for the tearjerker in the middle of the novel but I thought everything else felt true to Kristin Hannah.

I started and finished this book in a day. When you need to read a “comfort” book that makes you laugh and cry in the same minute Kristin Hannah always delivers.

A thoroughly enjoyable predictable love story. I really loved that it went past the immediate connection of the characters.

Sorry, but to me it read like a sappy hallmark movie.

This is a light, easy read. The story is compelling and you won't be able to put it down. However, it is one of Hannah's earlier books and I don't think she had quite mastered the art of character development or smoothing over the plot. Still a good book, but more entertaining than anything.
