May revisit one day. Excellent full cast, but still boring with the narrative form.
reread(listen) after Covid is pretty interesting. A lot of Brooks' critiques/predictions came true.

The author accounts for so many different perspectives of a zombie apocalypse; it’s incredibly well thought out and the attention to detail makes it super believable. The eyewitnesses kind of all sound like the same person though, and I know this isn’t the point of the book but another angle into this world other than personal anecdotes would have been super interesting. Overall, unexpectedly creative, and a pretty fun read.

This book remains one of my favorites. A nuanced and intensive look at a global zombie conflict. Its fun.
A book set up like you’re watching a documentary about the apocalypse after it happened. Definitely liked moments of this and some interviews were more engaging than others, but at the end of the day, I probably would’ve enjoyed an ‘as it was happening’ story. Really interesting to think about how the world would react and the issues that would come from it beyond the walking dead.
