This one is my favorite of the three short stories so far. I think that is because there's more shadowhunter history, and I really liked the addition of Edmund Herondale.

The addition of Edmund Herondale to this book is pure gold! Magnus Bane is once again a source of endless love and compassion. His very presence radiates warmth and care, making him one of the most human characters ever written, despite not being human himself. (Leaving some specific stories for later!) But the highlight? Witnessing Magnus interact with Edmund as he falls in love, defying his entire belief system for that one person. Priceless.

Well, this was at points pretty nice, and at other points not my cup of tea. The meetings between the two groups just wasn't my thing, but I loved seeing Magnus flirt with everything in a grand way and fall in love with various people. I love that Magnus loves both men and women (just like I do). The battle on the streets was awesome, loved seeing a Shadowhunter in action. I was a bit sad at the ending, that is indeed not too nice of those people.
I loved the big descriptions about everything, though sure at times I just wished they would get on with it. :P
4 stories read out of 11 that are in this book. I will get there. Eventually. :)

OMG. You damn Herondales and Lightwoods are literally going to be the death of me. I wish I could give a shit about Jace as much as I give a shit about Will Herdondale or now Edmund Herondale. This family literally breaks my heart, at least in the past. Jace doesn't, he annoys me. But I love the subtle little things too, like the whips and of course that damn red necklace again. UGH! Too many feelings.

This is the best story out of all the Bane Chronicles so far. It was absolutely fantastic. I find it to be sad though, that yet another difficult choice was bestowed upon another Herondale boy. I guess this means though, that we can add another boy to our loved Herondales! Camile was much more likeable. I loved the Downworlder love triangle. But for those who read the infernal devices, you already know how this story will end. It's the best one out so far, and it's worth the read.
