Where to start? This was chilling, emotional, and creepy all rolled into one! This crosses into numerous categories; horror, psychological, thriller, mystery, and more. I really enjoyed it and by the end was just sat there thinking what have I just read!?
The characters are written well and I could feel the emotion from each one. The detail of the environment and atmosphere are perfect at setting the scene. The twists and turns were brilliant, and even though I worked one out, there was still so much more to uncover in the story.
I went though many emotions reading this and I even teared up at a couple of points (there’s one thing I just can’t forgive D.A. Butcher for), but it all added to the intensity and immersion into the story. An outstandingly haunting debut novel, I can’t wait for more.
