The is exactly the story you would expect to take place in Florida! This is a silly, humorous take on life in the back woods everglades when you're smoking pot and hustling to make money any way that you can. I enjoyed the wild ride and Dave Barry not taking himself or the story too seriously.

If you are seeking something light in the same vein of a Carl Hiaasen novel this is a book for you.

A silly, fast-paced read about Floridian rednecks and their attempts at some get-rich schemes in the Everglades. I read this within a day sitting on a beach in Mexico, and I think that’s the perfect setting to enjoy this book.

DNF audio at 25%. The premise sounding really interesting and I was looking for a change of pace from my typical books. But after getting two hours in I just have no interest in hanging out with a bunch of rednecks for another 6 hours. I think some of this was the narrator too- the story was read by the author and he really just did not do it for me. No change in tone, cadence, inflectiom from one character to the next made it kind of a slog to listen to. Sorry!

It sounds like a lot of people really enjoyed it so I'm going to say this was just not a book for me.
