What a spooky read! This was such a gripping story - it felt so very much like a recovered journal. I could have read a version of this that was twice as long.

I had read Kingfisher’s “The Hollow Places” before this, and I now need to go re-read it now that I’ve read the inspiration for that tale.

This blended the human side of terror with the unknown and unknowable so well - cosmic horror without being cheesy or wildly unbelievable.
