It was just a retelling of the first book from Cas’ perspective. It was interesting to see his point of view on some of the interactions they had during the first book, but I didn’t need a 700+ pgs word-for-word retelling of the first book from his perspective.. we essentially got 30 pages of actually new content.. It feels like a filler book to get something out, which is a bummer and annoying that it’s counted as book 5 of the series.
