A fun quickie

This novella had me hooked, not from page one, but from the cover! The verbal sparring and sexual tension between Ryan and Penelope was delightful. One can feel the passion whether they are fighting or f###ing. This was hilarious and some fun, quick escapism. Toodles! I'm signing off to download Dirty Doctor now.

Unreasonable Client

Ryan is a PR nightmare, no PR company wants to take him on after he makes huge blunders in the media and his personal life. He finds Penelope Lauren's PR firm makes a huge deposit prior to his meeting using a LLC and she has no idea who she is meeting with.
The night before her meeting her best friend talked her into going out and finding a one night stand. Unfortunately she went to the wrong nightclub to meet her friend, instead she ended up meeting Ryan Dalton and spent the night with him. Imagine her surprise when he walked into her office the next afternoon, especially since she gave him a fake name.
He gave her an unreasonable list of demands of what he expected out of her PR firm, she came back at him with what he really needed. His brother was impressed with her and doubled the offer for 90 days if she can turn his brother around.
This story was hilarious at both her tactics and how their chemistry just screamed off the pages.
Ryan and Penelope exchanged barbs in their emails keeping score like teenagers and they both pull underhanded things to make the other crazy. This was another fun quick read.

This quick hit of naughtiness is everything you need for a pick me up. It's deliciously tempting with an arrogant over the top billionaire and the woman who changes everything...without permission.

Chemistry and force of wills keep these two going at it all book long!

Glad that I'm done with this series. The email and text messages as a way to forward the plot has gotten old with me.

This was a nice little quickie. Actually, it has the potential to be a really enjoyable full-length book. I’m kind of surprised Whitney G chose to write this fun and sexy story as a novella instead.

Let’s face it. Ryan is a cocky jerk, but at least he isn’t mean. Lauren is shy at times, yet she isn’t afraid to stand up for herself when it counts. I enjoyed their witty bantering and the various email exchanges between characters.

In addition to an entertaining storyline, Cocky Client has some really interesting supporting players that I would love to explore more; for example, Ryan’s best guy friend, her germaphobe roommate, her douchey ex, and Ryan’s sensible brother. I also wanted to see more of the specific challenges that Lauren faces while working directly with Ryan to reform his image. The story jumps forward several weeks at a time and I missed the day-to-day head butting.

I enjoy novellas when they are convenient and I don’t expect them to be anything more than a snack. However, I know what an awesome cook Whitney G is. Cocky Client is a really good snack that left me hungry for more. Given more meat and additional time it could be very satisfying meal.

Cute and super short novella.

Man I definitely have a love/hate relationship with novellas. Cocky Client isn't anything different. In it, you will meet Penelope and Ryan. They started off on a rocky start but of course things start to sizzle between them pretty quickly. I liked them but I wasn't in love with them. I feel like things were rushed, which I totally get since it's a novella and such. However, since I already know what I can get from a Whitney G book.. I guess I was just expecting something more?

Overall, it was cute and these two deserve each other. Now I'm off to dive into the first two books of this series!
