What’s better than a super taboo age gap? A reverse age gap where the woman is a single mother and her kid freaking loves the guy who’s been obsessing over her mom for years. The secret pining is always a bonus. And is it crazy that the fact that the hot, twenty-something lifeguard’s name is Theo makes it that much hotter. Add to it that he’s willing to piss off her d*ckhead of an ex? Yes, please. 🥵

This one is probably going to find its way to the middle of the rankings for this series.

Tropes:
Reverse Age-Gap
Angsty

Always love Lee Jaquot’s spicy novella as they’re a really good quick read and pleasant pallet cleanser in between longer books.
Loved the spice in this but i lost it a little when he kept calling her ‘mama’ during sex and pulled on her iud strings in the epilogue. 💀

I'm obsessed with Lee. She makes me fall in love with tropes and stories I never thought I'd like, let alone love!

Lee Jacquot is back at it with another spicy holiday romance. This is my first single mom romance I have read and I have got to admit I enjoyed it more than I expected. It was also the first younger man romance I've read, I think? And that was pretty damn good too.

If there's one thing Lee Jacquot perfectly, it's writing her MMCs to be absolutely OBSESSED with the FMCs. This story specifically highlighted that, as Theo had been patient pining for YEARS. When it finally came time to show it, he was unrepentantly full of adoration for Olivia. Add that to some fantastic bedroom scenes, and it definitely made this story all the more swoonworthy.

This novella had it all. A small age gap, breeding kink, some serious praise, and one hell of a happy ending massage. Mother's Day Inn definitely hit the spot tonight.

" 'I want to consume every part of your day with thoughts of me. Each barren, mundane, boring part. All of them with shadows of my presence.' "

God, this was way too short.
