this is the most important book you will read in 2017. no doubt about it.
GOD I LOVED THIS BOOK. i learned so much. i loved the all characters, especially Starr. the message this book sends is so fucking powerful and strong. EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ THIS BOOK.
Angie Thomas is a superstar. She is also the funniest, loveliest human ever!! i got the pleasure of meeting her on the 13th and i learned so much then too. i also laughed a whoooole lot more. i cannot WAIT to see what she writes next. love love love.

This book has gotten a lot of hype and in my opinion it deserves every ounce of it. Raw, emotional, important and surprisingly well balanced. Grab a box of tissues and hold on for the ride.

This is a powerful book that immerses the reader in a complicated culture amplified by a horrible situation. But I think it is one that more people need to read, to understand. Thomas explores not only the horrific shooting of a black teen, but also the dangerous situations of abusive relationships, people trying to break the pattern of abuse and gang involvement, interracial relationships, and the nuanced fear and courage that can often arise from learning how to tell the truth.

Maybe this is the most relevant book I've read this 2019.
It's real and it's a statement against injustice and racism. It's also a shoutout to all those community-based activists that fight every day for their neighborhoods

The hate u give es una lectura muy necesaria, un libro que te estruja el corazón, te genera impotencia, te hace cuestionar tus privilegios, te deja reflexiones y te enseña.
Increíble historia.
