This was ok. Interesting story that added to the world building and some important plot points plus giving more background on Lift who is apparently going to be a more major character later. But I just cannot stand Lift. I like her character in theory - she is like the Rosharian Aladdin only infinitely more annoying. Everything she says is just so grating. And the over obsession with pancakes and “awesomeness”… this one just didn’t do it for me

A really nice read helped by the fact that it's not too long whilst also managing to cover a fair bit of stormlight lore in this time. I kept wanting to read it and it's got me excited for book 3!
