I had high expectations for this since this author and book get recommended a lot this time of year, but overall it fell really flat for me.

Live reactions:

The imagery: holy hell, we love to see it. It gave the spooky vibe and you could feel the energy. We love! The phrase achingly beautiful comes to mind. Halloweentown for adults-immaculate.

If you're looking for an erotic twist on an old classic, this is definitely it! I can't wait for more from this author!

I liked this short story from Aveda Vice. It was, sadly, too short. I am hoping this is a prologue to a longer work in progress, because the author has a huge timespan and a lot of fun ideas happening here.

I would love to see more dialogue from characters as most of this short was narration.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

MMF poly retelling of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Very short. Erotic but not explicit. The prose has a lovely, slightly eerie quality to it. I would have loved more of this.

Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Headless Aveda Vice

The Headless Horsman is a tale as old as time, riding on his stead collecting the souls of the damned on Halloween night, until one year when a brave souls try to face him. Their friends only finding smashed pumpkin in his wake. Grieving the loss of their dear Brom Bones, Ichabod Crane and Katrin Can Tassel gets a ghostly erotic visit on each anniversary.

This short erotic story is told like old folklore, setting the spooky atmosphere perfectly for this racy tale of a bound between lovers that even death can't break. With only 17 pages, it was quick but it was bloody brilliant! It created a world of it's own, recreating the Legend of Sleepy Hallow into a polyamorous retelling that is sure to spook and make you swoon. It delivered brilliantly on all its promises.

Haunting

A short story featuring the headless horseman and his ability to come back only once a year. A spicy story of longing.
