I listened to this book on audio. While I felt that there were some interesting plot twists, I felt this wasn't the best effort of the author. I've read several of his other books and found them tighter with regards to character and plot development. This one had quite a bit of extraneous conversation that was probably intended to develop characters a bit, but really was a distraction. During the climax of the court marshal, I felt like it was strikingly similar to the movie A Few Good Men.

I would imagine there's an audience for this book, but I'm not it. Too predictable. Too little excitement.

I did like this, but I was pretty well clued-into what was actually going on from very early in the book. Even so, however, there was a lot of suspense and it kept me hooked throughout.

Thriller! Dad got it for me without having read it himself when I was in the 5th grade. It had the word "fuck" in it. Thrilling, indeed.
