Audiobook 8 hours 3 minutes - A lot of this book felt repetitive, like the same things were being said over and over, and a bit too slow-paced, but I think this is partially down to the fact I listened as an audiobook. I absolutely loved the scenes narrated by the external narrator - I thought they were a unique piece of storytelling and well-written, letting you see into the life of side characters that you'd never give much thought to otherwise. I liked the ending, that it wasn't happy but it wasn't necessarily sad either, it felt realistic. There were other parts that felt a bit too unrealistic though. The book dealt with coincidence vs. fate, but having the same interviewer/lawyer? That seemed too far-fetched by far. However, all in all, this book was enjoyable to read, just not the best thing in the world.

This book is amazing. Like They Both Die at the End, it shows so many perspectives/POVs. From the two main characters to the parents and histories and even the subway driver. But somehow the author makes everything connect in the end so beautifully to really show that everyone and everything has a story.
