Take a shot every time someone “rolls their lips” seriously we need a better descriptor.

This book was good, my gripes are that the parts that needed more had less and what had more shouldn’t have been included. I liked the representation here and that is something Roni always does a superb job at.

I really enjoyed this one. I like the author’s writing style and knew I’d be interested in this book after reading the first book in the series.

Adored the first novel in the series, and I loved the character dialogue—cute, flirty, and steamy. The love scenes are spicy. I’d almost give this book 2 stars due to the significant word count given to horror and crime. This is a result of the occupation of one of the main characters. Unfortunately, horror films terrify me, and it turns out that even reading about horror films gives me nightmares. For this reason, I found a lot of subject matter off putting.
Both main characters had a lot of heavy baggage that they brought into the relationship. Nothing wrong with that, but I felt that the book focused too much on individual development and not enough on the development of the couple.
All this said, I’m still going to continue with the series.

Loved loved loved this book. This author is easily becoming a favorite of mine. I love that her stories are so unique! It's never just boy meets girl and they fall in love (Thank God because that is getting so boring) there is always unique elements to the characters that show they are REAL PEOPLE. They're not these perfect story book human beings and you don't know how much I appreciate that.

I love hearing about real anxieties that I myself face. Or different perspectives of things I know little about. It's truly fantastic. I think this author is incredible for actually making characters that we can see ourself in or at the very least actually learn something from.

Hill and Andi are soulmates and no one can tell me otherwise. She is his final girl. Ugh my heart.

fav quotes:

“But I can’t believe more people don’t see it. Horror stories and love stories are two sides of the same coin. Both can involve obsession. Being overtaken by feelings you can’t control. Being driven to do crazy, out-of-character stuff. Being at someone else’s mercy. Both involve death.”

"Love meant someone had your back. Love meant you didn’t have to hide what you were struggling with. Love taught you that sometimes it was okay not to be okay."

"Feeling safe with someone was part of what made love love ."
