Ok I was originally going to give it a 3 but the white guy on the cover has assaulted my eyes every single time and it scares me. So yeah. Honestly it was cute. That's all I hoped for. Cute and scenes, and there were a ton. So many that I was starting to wonder if people like doing stuff that much. It was very white, for some reason. And not due to them, but just how lile, fast they say "love" and the sheer frequency of banging. Yes, the vocab and dialogue was cheesy and i swear they made words up sometimes and the plot and priviledge was done in a way that made me say fml and eat the rich and ughhh your lives are so hard poor babies (BUT Asher does say he has been very lucky and privileged which I appreciated) and you don't go super deep into anything and I think it was mostly physical attraction with a constant mention of like 3 special personality traits each. But what would I know? So I accept it at face value, appreciate the fun times (heh, spreadsheet) and will be moving on, not quite satiated but not at all surprised about it. The drunk text parallel was well doke, though. I will give it that.
EDIT: ok the dialogue was really bad guys😭 like sometimes I was disgusted cuz nobody would say such a thing. And I think i was feeling magnanimous at 3am so we're lowering the rating

A slow burn, romcom

3 starts is a bit of a stretch to be honest. This book was chaotic and I had a lot of cringe/secondhand embarrassment through most of the book. The only real saviour was that I really liked one of the main characters, Asher. Most of the side characters were also meh and Mark was a massive cringe fest. Honestly the last 10% was the best part of the book.

Sweet/spicy m/m romance. Tropes- forced proximity, opposites attract, single-dad
Listened to the audiobook for this one and definitely worth a listen
