It's been a while since I have had the fun of reading a brilliant romantic suspense book - Perilous Trust gets me back into this genre with a bang!
FBI Agent Damon Wolfe (definitely a hero's name! :P) is a man on a mission to forget his past - a past that involves the only woman who has ever made him feel anything more than just one night. A woman who is close to him, but someone he believes he doesn't deserve because he can't give her everything she deserves.
Sophie Parker is a talented, intelligent woman - a woman who is about to be thrust into the run for her life - and the last thing she expects is the help of a man she spent one night with four years, a man who left her in the morning and hasn't looked back since.

Her father's "accidental death" and a mysterious voice mail leaves her no choice but to go on the run - and she never expected Damon to come after her and to go on the run with her; just for the reason of helping her.
Perilous Trust would be considered a romantic suspense; but the romance doesn't overwhelm the reader - and I liked it that way! I loved that the romance wasn't in the face the plot is fasts paced, and it is definitely suspenseful that even I wasn't able to guess exactly who was the culprit here!
The ending though did come off as anti - climatic and predictable; but not enough that I wasn't
entertained while reading the book! Definitely going to look out for the next book in the series! :D
