This book was such an easy and quick read! The topics are pretty twisted but more because the things that happen in this book happen in real life. If you liked pretty little liars, you’ll like this book. I was interested from start to finish!

The girls really are not nice here at all - and that's what gives this book its main premise. Narrator, Ambrosia (Amb) is now married and living in New York. She gets an invitation to her 1o year college reunion but is determined not to go. However, the invitations and emails are insistent and some become threatening so she decides maybe it's best to go. The story alternates between present day and ten years ago to Amb's freshman year. Her room-mate, Flora is one of those nice girls of the title - maybe even a bit too good to be true. Amb meets Sloan Sullivan - Sully - and the two soon become friends. Amb ignores all the red flags Sully is dropping and the two are soon quintessential mean girls. As the story progresses, we learn that something big happened between Amb, Flora and Sully but it's not until more than half way through the book that we find out what actually happened. As the activities of the reunion take place, both Amb and Sully keep getting notes. Amb is trying to keep everything from her husband but soon it all implodes. Really good story with lots of twists and turns.

The girls in Amb's college all seemed so nice, but were they? No, they were definitely not nice to her at their college reunion. Amb and Sully were best friends in college. Sully was not a good influence on Amb. Everything was a game for her and Amb loved her attention. So Amb starts playing her game too but it results in something unforgivable. 10 years later, right before the college reunion, they start receiving mysterious notes saying "We need to talk about what you did."

If you love disturbing stories with messed up characters and unexpected endings then give this a read! No spoilers here but I was so shocked from the ending. I did not for once think the person who was sending those mysterious notes/threats was who it was. And I hated almost everyone in this story except Amb's roommate Flora who became the victim of Sully and Amb's messed up games. At one point, I was annoyed with Flora for falling for their trap but she was just a good, gullible person. Also, I did not think Amb ever tried to redeem herself. Once a mean girl, always a mean girl. The writing was gripping. I enjoyed reading this book from start to finish. If a writer can make me hate a character so much, to me they are an excellent writer. 4.5 stars!

I really liked this book! Was another audiobook for me, but I was really entertained and invested the whole time! Good twists along the way.
