This one started off slow for me — both due to the style/language and to the story itself — but once I settled into the right mindset for the language (had to turn on the Shakespeare brain a little) I got more into it. It still wasn't until the latter half that I went from liking to loving the book, entirely due to the character arcs/moments/interactions/etc. in the later chapters. Phenomenal stuff. The HEAVY focus on court politics is pretty outside what I usually read, and honestly still wasn't my absolute favorite, but man did I love the character work here.
