This lived up to the hype as far as I'm concerned. Sometimes u need feel-good coming-of-age fantasy in your life, and this is a lovely novel for some genre escapism. ìI enjoyed the worldbuilding and plot elements, though the court-intrigue side of the story is nowhere as sophisticated as I've seen advertised in some areas.
