This one was fine throughout the start and the faith aspect was appealing to me as I read-aloud to my daughter. However, it became political without warning suddenly in the denouement, and felt utterly contrived and unnecessary, frankly.

So, if you could stop releasing picture books making me cry at the Information Desk, that would be great. Beautiful illustrations, beautiful point.

This one may be more for parents than kids, but it is a beautiful, heartfelt dream for strong, safe, and healthy boys of color and how their lives are important. Gorgeous.
