Wasn't what I was expecting but it made more sense. But the ending was confusing for a while ..till the author I think said she was gonna release another one .

It was good but it lost that spark that had me enamored with book one.

It pains me to rate this book only 2 stars, because I really enjoyed the previous book and found it to be very enthralling. This one just, well, wasn't. Perhaps if I had some personal experience with abuse/rape/cutting/purging/suicide/homophobia I would have felt more connected to the story on some level. Instead I just felt the storyline was mainly depressing despite the whole redemption/healing theme. Two stars = "it was ok" according to GR, and that about sums up my opinion of this book.

I love how this book tells that you don't need to be whole to complete someone else.Amazing story

I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first mostly because Kayden really irritated me at times but I did like Jessica Sorenson's writing style so I'll definitely be picking up more books by her.

Such a bittersweet feeling! I've waited what seems like FOREVER for this book to come out and I am so sad now that the Callie/Kayden saga is complete. I really enjoyed this book. The only reason it wasn't 5 stars is because I wasn't really a fan of the ending. I felt like the ending was somewhat abrupt and could've been taken farther/made a little longer. I wanted to learn more about Kayden's brother once they were reunited and how his life has been. I also wanted to see more of Kayden and Callie's relationship progress after they'd both made their confessions. I hated the fact that Kayden's parents just up and left the house- I don't see how any parent could do that, but I can't see how any parent would beat their child, either. I loved Callie's journey as she becomes more free from her past and her constant love for Kayden. Ah, he just broke my heart some times! Kayden seemed so raw and vulnerable, but also fiercely protective and strong when it came to Callie. I love this couple, they are definitely towards the top of my favorite book couples! I'm looking forward to reading more about Luke- I felt like we didn't hear much about him in this book, but I guess that was the goal, setting him up for his own novel to follow soon. I think Luke's story will be intriguing and I hope we get a little more Callie/Kayden love in it, too!

This review encompasses book 1 as well.

Before you conclude that the series is your typical NA, it's not. True, it has several components common with other NA books but the way Ms. Sorensen narrated their story made me feel what the characters have gone through and sympathize with them.

Each of the four main characters have their story to tell. Their pasts interest me as I really want to know what made them who they are. They may be facing personal problems, but they found company in each other. It just shows that some problems are too large to be handled by oneself. We cannot handle it alone. We need people who will be there to support us as we face the problems we have in our lives.

I highly recommend The Coincidence series as it gives story-telling a more heartfelt and genuine approach to reality and the ways of how even the ones we consider closest to us, are the ones that can easily break us too.

WARNING: This review will have spoilers from the first book. You have been warned.

At the end of The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden I was shocked. I honestly did not that the author would go that far, and actually end the book the way she did. And that ending made me want to read the sequel even more. The Redemption of Callie and Kayden was a good sequel, yet I felt it missed the mark a bit for me.

When I read a sequel I want there to be a little growth in each character, escially early on, and honestly I didn't get that at all. When the book opens up we are thrust into both Callie and Kayden worlds and neither of them knows what to do. Kayden is trying to deal with his Parents and the fact that he tried to kill himself and Callie is trying to wrap her head around what happened that night and telling her parents about what happened on her eleventh birthday.

What I loved about this book in particular was its ability to deal with real teenage issues, although dramatized for effect, i felt like a lot of what Callie and Kayden went through in this novel felt real. The author had an ability to make me care for these two characters in a way I never thought I would and i was surprised at how invested i was in their futures.

What I did not like was the amount of drama that took place. It seemed a little overwhelming at times and I found myself skipping some parts because I wanted both Callie and Kayden to get over it and talk to each other! I find that this is a huge trend in New Adult fiction and I hope some authors will shy away from it because it can get to be annoying at times.

Overall I thought this was a good end to the story of Callie and Kayden, although there were some issues, I thought that the end of this book made complete sense and I am glad that everything got resolved. if you loved the first book be sure to pick this one up because it will satisfy your need for these two characters. A good read overall.
