For a book about a body-positive character, the mc sure does spend a lot of time judging other people’s looks

This was a re read, still didn’t love it quite as much as I did the first time. But it’s a solid 3.5-4 stars. The one part that still drives me insane though is the fact that they USE A CONDOM IN THE HOT TUB???? Like. Hot tub sex in general was a choice for her to choose at her big age but then to use a condom? And no comic relief of it falling off, etc. Whatever everything else was decent.

I am a Weiner fan. This one was not what I expected not having read much about it. I didn't realize there would be a "mystery". Gave it an extra level. I also liked the social media aspect - good & bad.

Entertaining light read about an instagram influencer who reunites with her high school friend in time for her wedding and winds up in the middle of a murder mystery.

Seriously...this book is like reading everything I want to get away from...fat shaming, shitty friendships and social media...no thank you...I don't like seeing it or reading it...

A story about complicated female friendships, forgiveness, and the blinding desire for revenge.

While the story is fun to read and the twist was unexpected, this book had too much going on for me. I usually love the depth of characters in Jennifer Weiners books, but this one had just a few too many people to keep track of. I didn’t read the synopsis, so I was surprised by the twist and enjoyed it a lot. I usually love Weiner’s books because they’re not cringe love-stories with terrible or whiny dialogue, but this one started to get just a tiny bit cringe at the end. Still a great easy read for when you need a break from deep literary fiction.
